On May 1st, partners Rodrigo Rossini and André Bastos Lopes Ferreira participated in the 2nd Congress of the Latin American Federation of Emergency Medicine — FLAME 2026, with a presentation on value-based medicine, forms of medical contracting, and taxation.
This issue is central to the future of healthcare services.
In a scenario of rising costs, healthcare pressure, regulatory demands, and the pursuit of better outcomes, discussing medical contracting models requires an approach that goes beyond legal formalization. It is necessary to understand the operation, the economic incentives, the tax sustainability, the safety of care, and the regulatory risks involved.
The exhibition brought together the multidisciplinary expertise of the partners:
Rodrigo Rossini Dias Luz, a physician graduated from USP (University of São Paulo), specializing in Emergency Medicine, with an MBA in Health Management from Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the USP Law School, focuses his work on the intersection between medicine, health service management, and legal strategy.
André Bastos Lopes Ferreira, PhD candidate in Law at the Faculty of Law of USP, specialist in Corporate Law from FGV/SP, collaborating professor at the Faculty of Public Health of USP and researcher in Sanitary Law, with expertise in corporate structuring, business contracts and legal models for the health and biosciences sector.
Participation in FLAME 2026 reinforces Rossini & Bastos Advogados’ commitment to building technically sound, economically viable legal solutions aligned with the concrete challenges of healthcare.
